A new beginning for Tata motors

Tata motors have shown remarkable turnaround turn around in their vehicle’s quality from the Tata Zest in 2014.With DesignNext , DriveNext and ConnectNext strategies the companies product jumped the lader in terms of performance, exterior and interior. With every car there after they went on improving by leaps and bonds.

Tata Zest-The first product which showed visible change in brand’s thinking and desire to produce global car is Zest. While exterior design was still in line with the Indica face but the interior was completely new. With a new 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine and 1.3 liter MultiJet diesel from Fiat the car was a serious contender in the compact sedan segment. From this product Tata also debuted Harmon infotainment system with best in class music experience and it continued with the cars coming next.

Tata Bolt-The second car was Bolt, with the same interior (different color theme) and almost same feature list as the Zest the car was good in its own world but the look was nothing then like a Vista who went to Harward but still a Vista, basically the derivation from Vista to Bolt was very visible, which in turned went on to be the most important factor in the products failure.

Tata Tiago-This product actually proved that Tata can make a true global product and is way more capable than what we thought it to be. Tiago debuted the brand’s Impact design philosophy that was much more contempory and unique than the others car in the segment .The design was new, platform was almost new and both the 1.2 liter petrol and 1.05 liter disel was newly developed as well.The car has excellent  right quality and decent handling characteristics.The best thing about Tiago is its pricing, the day Tiago was launched Tiago keyword was trending on the net down to its killer pricing.

Tata Hexa-The 7/8 seater crossover was the extremist conversation we have seen in a car from its predecessor Tata Aria. Apart from the basic silhouette everything else was revamped .The Tata crossover was extremely capable onroad and offroad down to its terrain response system and is one of the most comfortable 7 seater available in the country.

Tata Nexon-Tata Nexon showed the world that conversation from concept to production vehicle can be almost the same. Tata Nexon looked like a concept car onroad. High on space, features,design and power the compact Suv went on to be the second best seller in the respective segment.It is the first and only car to get 5 star GLOBAL NCAP rating.

Tata Tigor- Tigor, the booted Tiago was a miss. What Tata did is it compromised on performance and features to keep the price competitive. This was a the biggest mistake they committed on other wise a brilliant car, specially the design that was inspired by a notchback was the best in its class.

Tata Harriar-Harrier from Tata motors is the true collaboration of JLR with Tata and the product is exceptional. It does have its share of cons but the pros completely outshines the cons. Tata Harrier debuts the impact 2.0 design philosophy and is based on Landrover’s D8 platform. It was obvious for Tata to use stainless steel instead of aluminium but the structure is same which gives it an subdued advantage to the harrier. Further the  sense of indestructibility is above all.

Tiago/Tigor JTP-JTP stands for Jayem Tata Performance is a 50-50 joint venture between Coimbatore based Jayem Auto and Tata motors. The JTP’s are more of a enthusiast car than a normal car.The car produces 25% more power and torque and has setup for spirited driving. It has numerous exterior and interior enhancement to go with the sporty appeal that the car is trying to portray.
